Getting Started With MySpace

MySpace is something which is hard to avoid nowadays. You may not have a page yourself, but the odds are that someone you know already does; and you hear the site mentioned everywhere. It seems like the site came out of nowhere and instantly became the biggest thing online. Well, MySpace has actually been around for a while now, but it is one of the world’s most popular websites. If you are not part of this massive online social network, maybe it’s time you joined.

To join this social networking phenomenon, all you need to do is to sign up for an account, which is free and can be done in very short order. While you can look at a lot of different MySpace pages without creating an account, it is a good idea to go ahead and sign up, some pages are viewable by members only; and of course, you can then enjoy all of the features that the network offers.

When you have set up your account, the next thing to do is to build your profile. MySpace has profile templates available for your use and other design tools to customize your page. There are background graphics and font sets which you can choose from for your profile page and if you happen to know a little HTML, you can even build your own designs.

One thing you’ll see on most MySpace users’ profile pages is a section listing some information about themselves, including their likes and dislikes. You can add any categories to these that you like; many users also choose to post music or video clips on their MySpace pages. MySpace dcoes place some limitations on what you can post on your page, all of this is spelled out in their terms of use agreement,...

How to Use Viral Real Estate Marketing on MySpace

Alright, some of you are probably wondering, “What the heck is viral marketing?” Let me clear something up fast. “Viral marketing” is in no way related to a computer virus. On the contrary, this term is referring to a marketing plan which propagates like a virus. Simply put, from one person to the next at high speed.

It’s also known as buzz marketing, using its smart tactics to create a huge “buzz” among social networks online. Real estate investors especially, like agents, brokers, and the like, have harnessed the power of viral marketing. It’s time for you to be in on the secret.

Let me give you a clear example. Picture sending an email, message or bulletin about one aspect of real estate to 100 people, and 15 of those 100 send it to 100 more, and 15 of those folks send it to 100 more and so on and so forth, until you have reached hundreds of thousands.

This, in a nutshell, is what viral marketing is geared to do. It disperses your marketing message to massive amounts of individuals that you wouldn’t have reached with other conventional forms of ,...

Rules To Follow While Using A Web Cam Chat Service

Webcam chats are increasingly popular. You can talk to someone in real time, and see them without actually being in the same room. Its interesting to meet new people and be able to talk to them despite that person living far away, or in an entirely different part of the world.

Manners have become a lost cause, and those who experience web cam chats have a hard time getting the respect that they deserve. There are a lot of things you shouldn’t do during a web cam chat, and a lot of things that you should do during a web cam chat.

If you beg someone to chat with you on web cam, you can forget about it. Beggars are usually shunned, and rarely get to have any fun with web cam chats. You should always respect the demands of another person, especially if it involves you invading his or her space.

It is important to move a little when you are in a web cam chat. Sitting still and blinking is not enjoyable, and definitely boring. If you are using a web cam chat room on a paid site, it’s a waste of money for everyone. If you are using a free service, it’s a waste of time. Be interactive, and have fun,...

How LA Lakers Fans Find Great MySpace Layouts

There are few types of people more dedicated about their passions than sports fans. Sports fans are well known for their reputation in being overly excited about their favorite sports team. In addition to the normal emotion sports fans display, Los Angeles Lakers fans are among the most passionate.

Los Angeles Lakers layouts are a great way for sports fans and fanatics to show family and friends their choice in sports teams. To make things better, the LA Lakers colors are perfect for nice profile colors for a great MySpace layout. Personal interest in a sports team can also help bring friends closer together, as well as possible relationships between opposite sexes. But as MySpace users will find, there is much more use than just displaying personal likes.

Not everyone is a true artist at heart. And still others would much rather be watching the game than spending hours designing the perfect LA Lakers MySpace profile. But for those who don’t mind doing a little searching over the Internet, finding a MySpace resource website that makes many variations of LA Lakers layouts can be a real treat indeed. Of course, this could also mean a good ten minutes of searching as a result.

Anyone who has the time to make their own LA Lakers layout, but doesn’t have the deign skills necessary, can opt for an already made profile. Layouts that are already created will serve as the foundation of a design that is to be made by those with little design experience. All that is required in the case of LA Lakers fans is to find a basic layout with the same colors as the sports team they adore. This still may take a bit of time for perfect customization, but it’s a very satisfying experience to complete,...

USING SYMBOLS TO SHOW EMOTION IN TEXT

Smileys and emoticons are used in written forms of communication to describe a particular emotion or mood that is within the message that is sent. They consist of eyes formed by colons (or semicolons to show winking) and mouths formed by various letters or symbols ranging from a D to symbolize a large smile or a left hand parentheses to express sadness. Here are several example: : ( ; ) : D.

The difference between emoticons and smileys is that emoticons are not made of text symbols but are instead little pictures that express emotions. You can find them at smiley Central.

These symbolic expressions have risen to prominence thanks to rise of text messaging, not just on cell phones, but also through instant messaging or message board posts. The key requirement for the acceptance of smileys is that the form of communication is written and informal.

Since the rise of the internet and wireless digital telecommunication these forms of communication have taken prominence and often youth were the first to integrate these forms of communication in their lives. It is rare to find youth today who are ignorant of the usage and meaning of smileys.

While the early use of smileys expressed only happiness and sadness, the variety of symbols has increased to now be able to show disbelief, anger, surprise and playfulness as well.

Emoticons are used more by females than males which may be attributed to females being more adept at using them and possibly to females being more in tune with the nuances of expressing emotions in text.

Those who criticize the use of emoticons as being detrimental to the depth of human communication do not address the benefits of using them for quicker messages with more intimate text messages.

Use of emoticons has hit a plateau as all the smiley text combinations have been discovered. The future or more nuanced symbols lies in message forums...

Is It Google Vs MySpace Or Google & MySpace Working Together

Google vs. MySpace, or Google & MySpace? Now that Google has introduced a new program, Friend Connect, will MySpace be left in the dust? MySpace currently dominates the social networking website traffic, but competitors like Facebook are experiencing a greater rate of growth, further challenging the MySpace reign.
Google's new "Friend Connect Program" allows website owners to give their websites social networking capabilities. Instead of spending hundreds of thousands on the creation of your own social network, site owners will have the opportunity to get on board with Google--already a well-established and cutting edge web 2.0 presence. We can anticipate many websites will take advantage of this great opportunity. As more and more sites...

How MySpace Graphics Benefit Profiles

MySpace is a platform that lets its users express themselves- and what better way can expression be observed than using the many graphics and MySpace images available on the Internet today! MySpace graphics range from the hilarious to the glamorous- but what exactly is to gain from such graphics?

Of all the graphics and images that have become popular on everyday usage of MySpace, the advent of the glitter text has been the most popular. Glitter text is a very stylish way to upgrade one's profile and to also express a certain sense of sophistication. But because these glitter text images can be generated automatically, one doesn't need to be a graphical artist in order to make use of the ever popular glitter text.

Another popular field of MySpace graphics is the comedic images that come from many MySpace layout resource sites. These MySpace graphics will commonly feature animals with captions, comedians, clips of funny movies, or even images that have been edited with Photoshop to create hilarious outcomes. These images are best used to brighten up one's profile and to show everyone their wild sense of humor ...
